Our Story

Local, family-owned Hawaiian BBQ in Visalia, CA, serving island plate lunch since 2019.

Aloha Express is a local, family-owned Hawaiian BBQ restaurant on S Mooney Blvd in Visalia. We take pride in making our food in-house and from scratch. Most of our proteins are marinated in our secret house marinade, a recipe developed about 20 years ago with a good Hawaiian friend, and our teriyaki and katsu sauces are made in-house.

From a quick Mooney Blvd lunch to a family meal for four, enjoy island flavors alongside refreshing boba drinks, fruit teas, smoothies and shaved ice. Since 2019 our goal has been simple: spread the aloha spirit across Tulare County. Come hungry and leave happy!

Yes. Everything at Aloha Express is made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. Most of our proteins are marinated in our secret house marinade, a recipe developed about 20 years ago with a good Hawaiian friend. We also make our teriyaki sauce and katsu sauce in-house. Our crispy shrimp is peeled, deveined, breaded and fried, and our chicken katsu is chicken thigh, breaded and fried. We make our crab rangoon in-house and wrap our appetizers by hand.
